Background

A major insurer faced difficulty in collections in the New York Metropolitan Area. Use of large national collection agencies had for some time produced unsatisfactory returns.

The Challenge

After having represented this client for over a decade on business litigation and surety matters, we were requested to create a Collection Program for their needs. The large volume of such cases and their smaller size presented challenges which were novel to us.

The Solution

By computerizing the data entry and transmittal of files to our office, as well as the preparation of dunning letters and summons/complaints, we were able to design an approach that was both efficient and profitable.

The Result

The Collection Program we developed and administered operated successfully for our client for over 10 years and recovered as much as $1 million annually.
