Background

A Long Island storefront subcontractor had long completed its work and was owed $120,000 on a Nassau County school project. The general contractor became embroiled in a fight with the School District – which had nothing to do with the subcontractor.

The Challenge

We were retained to collect the sum due. First we had to extricate the subcontractor from the larger construction litigation.

The Solution

We focused our attention on the payment bond surety who – like the general contractor – had no real defense.

The Result

We recovered the full amount due and left the other parties to litigate on into the future.
